Turns out that there are two of them and one juvenile doing the feeding.

Three feet from its nest, and was being coaxed by its mother to go hunting on his own. He is flying, but if like other Cooper's, not too good at hunting.

Just after the first flight that I saw. He landed in the bushes, and was very unhappy. Sure looks composed, though.

He gained altitude to about 2,000 feet, turned East, and that's probably the last we'll see of him. It's been a great two weeks.
