Ducks, geese, and other things with feet that sometimes float and/or dive except cormorants which are under shorebirds ('cause that's where I find them). Since this is over a 3-5 year period - and I'm getting better - the groupings may be oddly interspersed. That's life.

Male Mallard

I know it's just another Mallard, but it's taken me almost 5 years to get a really good shot of a male Mallard. I don't know why it's been so difficult.

Today the sun was shining on just part of the stream, and gave the whole scene an idyllic quality.
Canada Goose Drying Feathers

If you're wondering why two of this photo, SmugMug allowed "collecting" after I had made a copy for MY favorites. Can't delete either without losing comments, and can't combine them either.
Canada Goose

The other day, there were at least 500 Canada geese arriving on the pond at the same time. It was such an impressive sight, I forgot to get a picture of it. It's the first time I've ever been in the center of a migration...which, if you know these geese, can be a little messy. Still, if they were less numerous, someone would say they're majestic birds. Well, here's a single.
Asian Brown Goose

One agitated goose. Also comes with spin and dry cycle.
